Budd Hall has been working globally in the field of knowledge democracy, adult education and participatory research for 55 years. Currently the Co-Chair of the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education based in the Centre for Global Studies at the University of Victoria. He is an Officer in the Order of Canada. His most recent book written with Rajesh Tandon is Teaching Community-Based Research. He is a Father and a grandfather. He is also a poet.
