Michael J. Prince, CM, is a Canadian political scientist and Lansdowne Professor of Social Policy at the University of Victoria. A leading authority on social policy and disability issues, he has advised governments, led major research initiatives, and served in key roles including Chair of Community Living BC and Expert Monitor for the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission. Recognized nationally and internationally for his advocacy, Prince was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2024 for his significant contributions to disability rights and inclusion.
