Armine Yalnizyan is the Atkinson Foundation’s Fellow on the Future of Workers and a leading
voice on Canada’s economic scene. Municipal, provincial and federal governments have sought her advice on labour market policy for over 35 years. She was senior economic policy
advisor to the federal Deputy Minister of Employment and Social Development Canada in 2018
and 2019; and served on a high-level federal task group during the pandemic. Her analysis is
regularly featured in newspapers, radio, and TV. She is Vice President of the Canadian
Association for Business Economics.
