Camille Irvine is a law student at the University of Ottawa. She holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Guelph, where her research focused on ethics and public policy. Before attending law school, she worked as a police call taker with E-Comm 9-1-1 in British Columbia, developing experience in high-pressure decision-making, public service, and community support.
Camille’s academic and professional interests include Indigenous intellectual property, business and commercial law, technology law, access to justice, and public policy. She currently works with Professor Chidi Oguamanam on research concerning Indigenous knowledge and access and benefit-sharing through ABS Canada. Her work reflects a broader interest in how law can protect communities, support innovation, and promote fairer and more accessible legal systems.
