Tasha is an elected Councillor with Cowichan Tribes and an Assistant Professor at Royal Roads University, specializing in First Nations entrepreneurship and Indigenous entrepreneurial ecosystems. Her extensive research focuses on how Indigenous entrepreneurial support organizations (IESOs) enable capacity building, economic development, and self-determination. Dr. Brooks brings a vital academic and community governance lens to how Indigenous businesses and individual creators can thrive within structured economic ecosystems while maintaining cultural integrity.
