Colin Tessier is the Chief Executive Officer of Threshold Housing Society, a Victoria-based non-profit organization dedicated to preventing adult homelessness by providing safe housing, support services, and community to youth at risk of homelessness.
For nearly 20 years, Colin has held senior leadership roles in the non-profit and community-serving sectors in Calgary and Victoria. He has led Threshold since 2018, guiding the organization through a period of significant growth and evolution in its housing, supportive recovery, and youth services. Colin also serves on the Board of Directors of A Way Home Canada, a national coalition working to prevent and end youth homelessness by advancing change in policy, planning, and practice.
Colin’s work is grounded in a belief that safe, stable housing can be transformative—not simply as a response to homelessness, but as a foundation from which young people can heal, build connection, and move toward thriving adulthood. He is particularly interested in approaches that shift systems from responding to homelessness after it occurs toward prevention, early intervention, and long-term solutions.
Colin holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University. He lives with his family on the traditional territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən peoples, known today as Victoria, British Columbia.
