Coro Strandberg is Chair and Co-Founder of the Canadian Purpose Economy Project and President of Strandberg Consulting. For more than 30 years, she has advised boards, businesses, governments, and industry associations on strategies to advance sustainability and social purpose in the marketplace.
A nationally recognized leader in sustainable business and social purpose, Coro is helping to build the purpose economy in Canada through the Canadian Purpose Economy Project, a national initiative working to make social purpose in business the norm.
She is a faculty member with The Directors College and Governance Professionals of Canada, where she teaches directors and governance professionals on sustainability, purpose, and stakeholder governance. Coro serves on the Sustainability Advisory Committee of the Canadian Standards Association and has advised the Office of the Auditor General of Canada’s Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development for more than a decade.
With more than 20 years of experience as a corporate director, Coro has served as Director and Board Chair of Vancity Credit Union and as a Director of the BC Lottery Corporation.
In 2024, Coro received the Joyce Borden-Reed Distinguished Contribution Award from Governance Professionals of Canada in recognition of her leadership in governance. She was also recognized by the Clean50 as Canada’s top CSR consultant for her impact in advancing responsible business practices.
