Hayley Lapalme is a nationally recognized leader in systems transformation at the intersection of food, health equity, and climate. She is co-founder and Executive Director of Nourish, a national charity harnessing the power of food in health care to advance planetary health, equity, and reconciliation.
For more than fifteen years, Hayley has advised public institutions and senior leaders, bringing a strategic and relational approach to complex change grounded in systemic design and participatory governance. Through Nourish, she convenes health leaders, clinicians, Indigenous knowledge keepers, farmers, chefs, and policymakers to reimagine hospital food systems. She works with provincial and federal policymakers to shape policies and frameworks for low-carbon food procurement, sustainable menus, traditional food access, and healthier public institutions.
Hayley holds a B.A. from McGill University and an M.Ed. from the University of Toronto. An eleventh-generation French Canadian settler, she lives, works, and mothers on lək̓ʷəŋən territory.
