Sara Pedersen is Chief Program Officer of The Rossy Foundation, a Montreal-based private foundation dedicated to improving the lives of Canadians by building healthy, resilient communities and championing the changemakers working to solve society’s most complex and persistent challenges. Sara holds a PhD in Community Psychology from New York University and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Columbia University and the Université de Montréal, where her research explored how enriched social contexts can help children and adolescents flourish despite exposure to adversity. With more than 20 years of experience across the philanthropic, research and higher education sectors, Sara unites diverse partners and disciplines around shared, evidence-based solutions, guiding bold strategies and major grantmaking initiatives from vision to measurable impact.
