Renée Olsen

As CEO of Khowutzun Development Corporation (KDC), Renée leads strategic economic development initiatives that advance sustainable growth, strengthen community prosperity, and foster partnerships with government and industry. A seasoned executive and skilled negotiator, she is leading major economic negotiations for Cowichan Tribes on transformative infrastructure projects, including the Cross Fraser Tunnel and Tilbury LNG initiatives.

A recognized leader in development and housing innovation, Renée was the business Architect for BC’s first BC Builds project, which will deliver 200 purpose-built rental homes, including 20% below-market units, on reserve. With leadership experience at WestUrban Developments, Langham Properties, Clark Builders, and Mike Geric Construction, as well as serving as former Education Director for Women in Construction (Victoria) and a founding member of CREW Edmonton, Renée is committed to building strong partnerships, delivering complex projects, and creating lasting economic impact.
