Robin McLay is Executive Director of the Fulbright Canada Honouring Nations Initiative, oversees Fulbright Canada’s Western Office, and serves as Special Advisor to the President and CEO. His career spans Indigenous economic development, democratic governance, international development, higher education, philanthropy, and public policy, with senior leadership roles at Harvard University, Global Affairs Canada, McGill University, and the Mastercard Foundation. Robin is of Métis and Scottish ancestry, with his Métis heritage rooted in the Hardisty family and its longstanding connections to the historic Mackenzie District and Hudson’s Bay Company fur-trading communities. His work across sectors focuses on advancing Indigenous-led governance and economic development, strengthening institutions, fundraising, and building meaningful partnerships.
