Thi Be Nguyen is a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal (2024) and a graduate of Concordia University (Class of 1998). Recognized for her extraordinary contributions to community development and international relations, she is a visionary social entrepreneur, executive, and philanthropist who leverages cultural diplomacy as a powerful catalyst for international business, trade, and geopolitical cooperation. Currently, Thi Be serves as the Founding Chair of the International Cultural Diplomacy Network (ICDN) and is the Delegate for Quebec on the Advisory Board of the Canada–ASEAN Business Council (CABC), where she previously served as Executive Director. Her diverse career also features extensive corporate leadership, including over 20 years at National Bank of Canada and managing the office of the President and CEO and leading a 25 million fund yearly in philsnthropy. As the founder of the non-profit UniAction, she spearheads vital diversity, inclusion, and community wellness initiatives—most recently launching the collective artwork project The Tree of Unity. Beyond her corporate and community advocacy, Thi Be is an accomplished documentary film producer. She utilizes cinema to amplify diverse perspectives, currently producing her third documentary, Générations, which explores the rich tapestry of Canadian family histories. Her profound advocacy includes contributing directly to the adoption of Bill S-215 (An Act respecting National Immigration Month) through her pivotal testimony and submission at the hearing of the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology.
