Warren Miller

As a Wirangu and Kokatha man from the West Coast region of Ceduna, my leadership is defined by a lifelong commitment to the health, wellbeing, and self-determination of First Nations communities.

As the CEO of the Spinifex Foundation SA, an Indigenous-led philanthropic foundation focused on preventative health and social justice initiatives that create long-term, meaningful change. Our work centers on supporting community-led initiatives that address the root causes of disadvantage and empower our people to thrive.

My approach is grounded in culture and shaped by more than two decades of experience across health, government, and Not-for-Profit sectors. I am known for building strong relationships and for my ability to bridge community knowledge with government and philanthropic systems.

At Spinifex, we are shifting the philanthropic landscape to ensure decisions around funding sit in the hands of Community. We advocate for a model that respects cultural identity and creates pathways for our people to access resources outside of traditional structures, ensuring sustainable change is genuinely rooted in Indigenous wisdom.

I believe sustainable change happens when communities are trusted, empowered, and their voices are respected. By aligning resources to lived experience, we support an environment where young people stay out of the justice system and families live healthier, stronger lives.
