Ottawa, 24 March, 2026: The Victoria Forum held its annual meeting with Canadian Senators and Members of Parliament, sharing reflections from the 2025 Victoria Forum and looking ahead to priorities and planning for 2026.

The session opened with welcome remarks from Sen. Suze Youance and former Sen. Jim Munson, followed by introductory comments from Saul Klein, who provided a report-back on the 2025 Forum, introduced the theme for the 2026 Victoria Forum, and highlighted upcoming engagements in London and Casablanca.

Presentation featured contributions from Alex Tveit and Stephen Huddart on democratic renewal, from Ava Hill and Patrick Brennan on truth and reconciliation, and from Thomas Marois and Arti Freeman on the role of philanthropy and public-public finance in addressing major systemic challenges such as climate change and homelessness.

The session offered an opportunity to reflect on how the Victoria Forum continues to bring together policy makers, academics, Indigenous communities, business leaders and civil society to advance practical responses to today’s most urgent social, democratic, and economic challenges.
