David lives on the land of Lək̓ʷəŋən speaking peoples, also known as the Songhees and Esquimalt (Xwsepsum). As the Manager for the Public Sector Climate Leadership team at BC’s Climate Action Secretariat (CAS), David leads a team of analysts who develop policies and programs to support cross-government climate commitments. His current focus areas include reducing emissions and increasing resilience in public sector buildings, leading the provincial government’s procurement of carbon offset units, and supporting fleet electrification. Prior to working on government climate policy, David managed sustainability-focused research collaborations at the University of British Columbia that used campus as a living lab.
